I have a sony vaio with windows 7 on it, and I want a macbook, but theyre way too expensive…so I thought I’d just get some of the apple software. I already have Itunes, safari, and quick time player. Are there any other apple software products I could download?

Hey i have notice that i can not update any of my Apple Software since I updated my PC from Windows to Vista. Every time I try to upgrade or install any Apple software some massage shows up “The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The Error code is 2738″ is there any why I can fix this problem so it can work again????

I think its not Windows Vista compatible that’s why it not upgrading it to the newer version.Hope this helps!!

I just got an Apple Macintosh computer (I’ve always used a PC) and need help on how to run it. I know the basics (turning it on, finding Word, etc.). But how do you do other things? Also, I have a USB cable– can I transfer programs from my PC to the Mac using it? Any information you can give me would be helpful– thanks!

Well, you kind of need to be more specific. Apple.com as well as the system guide can teach you many things you need to know. As for running PC programs on Mac, they either need to be Universal (you can find that out by typing the program into apple.com and seeing if it comes up) or you need to buy a program called Crossover which will run basic windows applications (no gaming). Other than that, e-mail me with a specific question if you need help, I switched over 2 years ago and became an expert in a matter of a month. Its a very simple and effective OS. Also, do you have OSX Tiger or Panther, if you have Panther it will say 10.5, 10.4 is Tiger.
