Question by : WordPress Theme Error?
I was trying to get a wordpress theme (copperific) working when I got this error. I cannot access site frontpage or the backend of WP. The theme worked when I installed it, then I installed dysprodiumic theme, which also worked. Then when I replaced a php file in copperific, it gave me the error.
the error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _verify_activate_widget() (previously declared in /home/content/l/a/g/laguzza/html/wp-content/themes/dysprosiumic/functions.php:38) in /home/content/l/a/g/laguzza/html/wp-content/themes/dysprosiumic/includes/functions.php on line 533

Any ideas on how to fix it? I’m completely locked out as of now…

You have to reinstall theme. To install the login to cpanel and then file manager then htdocs or public html then wp-content then themes then upload the theme file (.zip). Now click www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/themes.php
login and activate the new theme.
