1) can you ‘jailbreak’ an iPad?
2) Is the browser like mobile browsers and stuff? or like regular net browser like on PCs and computers?
3) What apps on iPad that are like microsoft office? I know three of them. Microsoft word, power-point, and excell, but are there anymore?

You can jailbreak your Ipad, although it would diminish your warranty, but you could then used external hard drives, if it was me, I wouldn’t jailbreak it.
The safari web browser in essence is almost exact;y the same than the iphone’s safari web browser, but due to the larger screen, it gives you the freedom of the proper safari web browser. So it feels like a computer web browser (although there isn’t flash)
There isn’t Microsoft office, but apple’s version which is called “iWork.” There is Pages (word/publisher), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint.) I believe you can export them to Microsoft compatible files with only few issues

yes you can jailbreak it, but some of the third party apps aren’t compatible with the ipad, but are getting updates. the browser is more oriented like a full browser, but doesn’t have flash unfortunately. their are apps like microsoft office there is an app called pages, its an official word processor created by apple themselves (price is $ 9.99) and if you have a mac you will be familiar with it, in addition to, you can save documents in .doc format which is compatible with microsoft word which means it can be edited via computer also. Apple also released an app called keynote ( an app that functions like powerpoint) that allows you to make presentations with slides and the final app is numbers it functions like microsoft excel for value inputs and such all these are available for $ 9.99 each. you can get all 3 for $ 30 or course. if they dont suit your needs, quickoffice is available which offers all those services for $ 9.99. hopes this helps
